Constitution

The Society shall be called "Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh, Rajshahi Branch" (hereinafter referred to as 'the Society').

• To create a platform for Surgeons of different specialties to meet and exchange views and experiences.
• To arrange scientific sessions for the improvement and development of the practice and knowledge of Surgery.
• To keep up to date with the latest development in the field of Surgery locally and internationally.
• To arrange Post-graduate courses for the training of Surgeons.
• To collaborate with Medical Colleges, National and International Societies having similar objectives.
• To publish 'Journal of Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh' and other publications.

Membership of the society shall be of the following categories: General Membership and Life Membership.

Any registered medical practitioner with Fellowship (F.C.P.S.) or equivalent post-graduate degree in Surgery or its allied specialties obtained from any recognized Institution, interested in the development and advancement of Surgery and allied specialties in Bangladesh, shall be eligible for membership on payment of the annual subscription as fixed by the Executive Committee.

• Annual subscriptions include all privileges of membership including receiving the Journals for the current year.
• Every member shall be entitled to attend and participate in all general and clinical meetings, lectures and demonstrations organized by the Society.
• Every general and life member shall have the right to vote on all resolutions and regulations put forward at any general meeting.
• Every member shall be entitled to use the reading room and the library of the Society.
• Every member shall be supplied with copies of all publications of the Society either free or at reduced charges.
